We help refugees and asylum seekers begin their new life in the Winona, Minnesota, area. We couldn't do it without your support.
Who We Help
Our network helps meet the immediate needs of refugees and asylum seekers, including finding housing and accessible and affordable food options for our families. Our volunteers assist our refugee friends with learning English, acquiring a driving education and license, urgent healthcare needs, and navigating U.S. culture while preserving the beauty of their own cultural identities.
Our Coalitions
Winona Sheltering Network organizes focused coalitions to best respond to refugee crises as they develop. Great River Asylum Support Partners (GRASP) and Winona Afghan Support Network (WASN) are two current coalitions. We are also helping a Ukrainian family with resettlement.
